My Cooking Blog

Hailing from the West Africa, Nigeria, we have my first dish as a vegetarian, something we call yam pottage….a loooot of people have complained to me that yam is dry, (just like to point out i’m not referring to sweet potato lol). Growing up in a Nigerian home I never experienced such with yam and it whenever I questioned these people they always seemed to be unsure of what they were saying or if they were talking about yam altogether, to sum up yam is not dry. You just need to cook it right, and this is one of the most beautiful ways to try, rather simplistic people often go for a wide range of additions and subtractions when it comes to this recipe but then again its all about making it your own.
